- BME's first interns, Jordan Ginsberg and Gillian Hyde were hired and moved to La Paz, BCS, Mexico.
April
- April 1—"Love at First Bite" April Fools article was published.
- April 16 - Matthew Henshaw swallowed a sword and hung a 20.1kg sack of potatoes off of the handle for 5 seconds, breaking a world record.
May
- May 20, 21, 22—The first ScarWars event was held in Philadelphia.
June
- June 24th—BMEfest 2005 was held in La Paz, BCS, Mexico.
- June 30th—Karolyne Smith became the first woman to have her forehead permanently tattooed with a company logo as a form of advertisement.
July
- July 11th—Keith Alexander passed away.
August
- August 5th—ModBlog was added to the BME community
- August 28—The Weirdo Menace event, the 4th annual Bowling With Weirdos, is hosted by Brian Sowden in Norristown, PA.
December
- December 8 - Master Piercer, Dan Kopka passed away.
