Although not directly related to the body modifacation itself, Anal sex or more broadly Anal play can be considered part of the scope of the lifestyle of many people. In it's purest form anal sex is the penetration of the anal spincter during intercorse, also refered to as sodomy.

Considerations
Genital Piercings
In male-male and male-female anal intercourse, piercings such as a prince albert or apadravya can cause serious discomfort or even make penetration impossible.
Disease Transmission
The risk of transmission of STDs or HIV/AIDS with anal sex is just as great as with normal intercourse and the same care should be taken.
