Princess Diana cut herself on her arms and legs using a razor and at other times a lemon slicer, as well as injuring herself by throwing herself into a glass cabinet at one of their palaces. She also cut herself on her chest and thighs in front of Prince Charles, who thought she was faking her problems. Once after a fight on an airplane, she cut herself up in the bathroom and smeared blood all over the cabin during the flight.

Diana's struggle with [[self-harm]] was one of the first times the general public became aware of the problem, especially in an older woman.
