Soda-lime glass is the most common type of industrially-produced glass, and is often used to make body jewelery. It is comprised of 71-75% silica, 12-16% soda, and 10-15% lime. It is not as resistant to corrosion or thermal stress as borosilicate or quartz, but it has been very successful as a material for body jewelry. Like borosilicate, it comes in a large variety of colors and many beautiful designs.
