- September 8th—Brian Sowden and Shane Munce hosted the first Bowling With Weirdos event in Norristown, PA. Initially known as Philly Area BME BBQ/Bowling.

- ManWoman's book Homesick for Eternity was published.

- November—Elayne Angel became the first wearer of body art to receive a registration from the U.S. Patent and Trademark office.
December
- December 31—Trembling in Tweed, a BME BBQ held in Tweed, Ontario was held. Shannon Larratt and Martin Howe performed, possibly the first ever, forehead pull.
