Japan is an island country in the Pacific Ocean to the east of China and Korea. Japan’s intricate tattoo tradition is the most documented in western society, and has been a consistent inspiration to western tattoo artists since they first stumbled across it. Japan also has a thriving body modification scene as well as its very own BME edition BMEJapan run by Dita.
