Pink Ivory is a very rare tropical hardwood. It is popular for making organic body jewelry due to its very tight grain. As the name suggests, it is usually pink in color, although it can also be reddish, yellow or gray. Pink Ivory jewelery that is oiled and worn regularly tends to darken over time to almost the same color as mahogany.
It is not made of elephant tusks or other animal-based substance.
