A bondage bar (or slave barbell, or many other names as well) is a barbell that has one or both of the beads drilled to accept a "door knocker" captive bead ring for decorative purposes. Functionally, they are no different from normal barbells and curved barbells.
The name "bondage bar" comes from the fact that the ring appears to be something one could tie a rope to, but, in reality, the strength of the metal of the ring is such that it would take only a small amount of force to break the ring off the bead.
