Patrick Bartholomew (born June 10, 1947) opened the London Piercing Clinic in the 1980's, and along with his friend and mentor Mr. Sebastian, was responsible for devising many of the techniques still in use by British piercers today. As well as being a pioneer in the piercing scene, he also performed some of the first scarification and surgical modifications in the country. He was the first piercer to use titanium for body jewellery in the UK.

Patrick is now largely retired, having sold his shops, and is only doing the occasional piece of interesting work. He remains a trusted friend of BME and the body modification community.

Patrick passed away on January 12, 2015 after a long battle with cancer.
