Lavender oil is considered an essential oil that has been used since ancient times. Lavender oil is derived from the plant, using a steam distillation process. Lavender is native to the Mediterranean countries. Known for its calming and soothing effects, it is a popular essential oil that can be found undiluted in most health food stores.
Most common uses for Lavender oil are for:
- Aromatherapy
- Massage
- Burns
- Insect bites
- Body modification aftercare products
Lavender oil is also an ingredient that is found in Tattoo Goo.
