I'm confused as to what this has to do with body modification. But maybe that's just me.
- Diana's struggle with self-harm was one of the first times the general public became aware of the problem, especially in an older woman. ...it didn't really make it any more acceptable, but it publicised the fact that some people have different ways of coping.
