Sewing Needle

A sewing needle is a metal rod with a loop on the end used to carry thread through pieces of material with the intent of joining them together. Most sewing needles can not be sterilized as they will rust, not being made of stainless steel or titanium.

They're not used much in body modification except as an occasional play piercing item.

For the purposes of flesh sewing or suturing, a suture needle is far more appropriate.
