On 9/25/06 I had a customer come into our shop with an embedded labret. The piercing had split the back of her lip and was resting on the inside. We were able to remove it, though she did say it was uncomfortable process. The lip was swollen because of the irritation that the stud was causing. For after care, I instructed her to take care of her lip as though she had just had it pierced. I also gave her a copy of the aftercare printed out from the APP website.
